Dismas House of Indiana is proud to introduce free public programs at The Dismas Hub. These offerings are designed to support individuals navigating life after incarceration or justice involvement, fostering healing, connection, and personal growth.

Rooted in the organization's mission to promote dignity, compassion, and transformation, these community-based programs are open to all and provide a welcoming space for learning, expression, and support. Whether through peer-led workshops, support groups, or creative activities, The Dismas Hub is a place where individuals can reclaim agency and build meaningful connections as they reenter and reintegrate into society.

All programs will be held at The Dismas Hub at 402 E South Street in South Bend. Below, you’ll find a variety of workshops, support groups, and activities designed to inspire transformation and build community. Each program includes a simple way to register, because taking that first step should be easy.

Recovery Wellness

2nd and 4th Mondays 6:30 pm

A supportive space for justice-impacted individuals walking through hard things. Whether your recovery is from trauma, mental health challenges or substance use disorder, this group offers community, understanding, and tools for healing.

Parent / Child Separate

2nd & 4th Tuesdays at 6:30 pm
The Dismas Hub offers programs for caregivers and youth who have experienced incarceration in their family—sometimes together, sometimes separately. Caregivers can attend their own workshop while youth participate in age-appropriate sessions nearby. Note: A parent or caregiver does not have to attend for a child to participate, and vice versa, but both must be registered if attending on the same night.

Parent / Child Together

1st & 3rd Tuesdays at 6:30 pm

Family connection nights at The Dismas Hub are open to all caregivers and the youth they care for who have been impacted by incarceration—whether directly or through a loved one. Enjoy crafts, games, and shared meals designed to strengthen relationships and build community.

Note: At least one caregiver and one child must attend together.

Women's Peer

2nd & 4th Wednesdays at 6:30 pm

A supportive, affirming group for all female-identifying and non-binary individuals who have been justice-impacted, whether through personal experience or a loved one's incarceration.  We focus on healing, connection and empowerment through shared experience.

Men's Peer

1st & 3rd Wednesdays at 6:30 pm

A dedicated space for men who have been impacted by incarceration—personally or through a loved one—to connect, reflect and support one another in recovery. Together we focus on honesty, brotherhood and building strength through vulnerability.

Financial Literacy

2nd Thursdays at 6:30 pm

A practical, judgment-free series designed for justice-impacted individuals who want to build confidence in managing money. Topics include budgeting, credit repair, savings, debt reduction, and planning for long-term stability.

Workforce Readiness

3rd Thursdays at 6:30 pm

Hands-on workshops for justice-impacted individuals who are rebuilding their careers or starting something new. Sessions include résumé building, interview prep, job search support and introductions to local employers and entrepreneurial resources.
