The Dismas Way Programs

Dismas House of Indiana is proud to introduce free public programs at The Dismas Hub. These offerings are designed to support individuals navigating life after incarceration or justice involvement, fostering healing, connection, and personal growth.

​

Rooted in the organization's mission to promote dignity, compassion, and transformation, these community-based programs are open to all and provide a welcoming space for learning, expression, and support. Whether through peer-led workshops, support groups, or creative activities, The Dismas Hub is a place where individuals can reclaim agency and build meaningful connections as they reenter and reintegrate into society.

All programs will be held at The Dismas Hub at 402 E South Street in South Bend. 

Narcotics Anonymous

Every Monday 6:30 PM

We host NA meetings every Monday evening. This is a safe, supportive space for anyone sseeking recovery, connection, and community. No judgment. No presure. Just support. Also, no registration or sign-up required.

Sex Offender Resource Night

1st Thursdays 4:00 - 7:00 PM

A space focused on support, information, and connecting with helpful resources. Whether you're looking for guidance, next steps, or just a place to feel see, this evening is about moving forward. No registration or sign-up required.

Domestic Violence Survivor Support

4th Thursdays 6:30 PM

A space focused on support, information, and connecting with helpful resources. Whether you're looking for guidance, next steps, or just a place to feel see, this evening is about moving forward. No registration or sign-up required.

Recovery

Wellness

1st & 2nd Fridays

A supportive space for justice-impacted individuals walking through hard things. Whether your recover is from trauma, mental health, challenges, or substance use disorder, this group offers community, understanding, and tools for healing.

Women's Peer Group

2nd & 4th Wednesday 6:30

A supportive, affirming group for all female-identifying and non-binary individuals who have been justice-impacted, whether through personal experience or a loved one's incarceration.  We focus on healing, connection and empowerment through shared experience.

Workforce Readiness Lab

3rd Thursday 6:30 PM

Hands-on workshops for justice-impacted individuals who are rebuilding their careers or starting something new. Sessions include résumé building, interview prep, job search support and introductions to local employers and entrepreneurial resources.

Parent-Child Connections

First 3 Tuesdays 6:30

This program is designed to better support children and caregivers in our community. Kids are invited to join our Children’s Group for creative activities, storytelling, emotional learning, and supportive connection with friends. A safe, welcoming space so little ones can thrive.

Men's Peer Group

1st & 3rd Wednesday 6:30

A dedicated space for men who have been impacted by incarceration—personally or through a loved one—to connect, reflect and support one another in recovery. Together we focus on honesty, brotherhood and building strength through vulnerability.

Health Resource Clinic

1st Fridays 3:30 - 5:30 PM

A supportive space for justice-impacted individuals navigating through health matters and questions.  We will have an on-site nurse | community healthcare worker to help answer questions.

Parent/Child Together

4th Tuesdays 6:30

Family connection nights at The Dismas Hub are open to all caregivers and the youth they care for who have been impacted by incarceration—whether directly or through a loved one. Enjoy crafts, games, and shared meals designed to strengthen relationships and build community.

Financial Literacy

2nd Thursday 6:30

A practical, judgment-free series designed for justice-impacted individuals who want to build confidence in managing money. Topics include budgeting, credit repair, savings, debt reduction, and planning for long-term stability.

Food as Fuel: Nutrition Class

2nd and 3rd Friday 6:30 PM This nutrtion class, learn what foods work well together to make you feel fuller longer, burn fat and keep you fueled throughout the day!  Some topics include:  Type 2 Diabetes, staying motivated, fight mid-section bloat and meal prep.
